The high sensitivity 10 megapixel sensor provides great image quality in a variety of lighting conditions. Its 28mm wide angle lens lets you put more in the frame, while the advanced optical image stabilizer reduces blur caused by camera shake. It features a new HS system which dramatically improves image quality in all situations. The Digic 4 processor combines with the high sensitivity sensor to allow full-resolution shooting up to ISO 3200 or up to ISO 6400 in low light mode. The IXUS 300 also allows you to shoot at high speed or in slow motion. It enables continuous shooting at up to 3.7 shots/sec at 10 megapixels or 8.4 shots/sec at 2.5 megapixels, making it ideal for capturing fast-paced sports subjects. Switch to the Super Slow Motion Movie mode and show events unfolding in breathtaking slow motion. You can shoot and playback your photos and video on the 3-inch LCD screen. A tempered glass layer improves strength and heightens visibility in bright conditions. For complete simplicity you’ll enjoy the Smart Auto mode which uses scene detection technology to identify your scene based on brightness, contrast and distance. The camera will then select the most appropriate scene mode from a choice of 22. You can also take creative control by switching to Av or Tv modes which allows you to add your personal touch, by adjusting depth of field or freezing motion. Creative modes include Fish-eye Effect, Miniature Effect and Low Light mode. The IXUS 300 also lets you shoot HD movies with stereo sound.
